Good news for Pokhara that now for infertility treatment you do not have to go to Kathmandu or Abroad for treatment. Infertility treatment with IUI (Intra-uterine-insemenation) is now available at APC, Pokhara Branch.

Sometimes just some stimulating medicine can result a magic. But often a sophisticated procedure known as Intra-Uterine-Insemenation (IUI) is required. This procedure takes the sperm from husband, processes in lab, cleans to be more effective and artificially inserted into the uterus at exactly right time of ovulation. Right time of ovulation is as well monitored by procedure called follicular monitoring. This insertion is usually done twice or three times.

If the IUI procedure fails- then the procedure called IVF (Test tube Baby) is required. Which requires long term preparation (almost a month).
