CoAS Rana is visiting India for the field visit of the Consolidation Exercise of Indo-Nepal Joint Group Training in PitharuraGarh in India.
A total of 383 officers and personnel of Nepal Army are also attending the training.

Earlier, four such joint trainings were held.
CoAS Rana is scheduled to hold talks on bilateral interest with India’s Defence Minister AK Antony and External Secretary Sujatha Singh. They would also talk about Indian government’s possible assistance to the Nepal Army, it is learnt.
This is the second visit of CoAS Rana to India after he assumed the top post of the Nepal Army.
CoAS Rana would be accompanied by other top army officials including Major General Victor Shumsher RBR, Brigadier General Suresh Sharma and Colonel Suresh Sharma, among others.
Likewise, Chief of General Staff Netra Bahadur Thapa would assume the post of Officiating Chief of Army Staff in absence of CoAS Rana, according to the Nepal Army Public Relations Directorate. RSS
