Rekha Thapa Doesn’t Have Name in Voters’ List

3 Oct-Kathmandu: Rekha Thapa, a famous Nepali film actress, who had been in limelight as U-CPN Maoist Candidate in the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) fom Parsa is said to be absent in voters’ list.

Previously it was said that she would file her candidacy from Parsa Constituency No. 1 but she is not in the U-CPN Maoist’s final list of candidates for First Past the Post (FPTP) system.

Maoist has nominated Baliram Shah as party candidate from the constituency that was considered for Rekha Thapa.

Rekha Thapa had joined U-CPN Maoist a few months ago and had said she would contest election if party made her a candidate. Sources have said that Rekha is removed from the list just because of her absence in the voters’ list not because of other disputes.
