30 Sept-Kathmandu: More than 150,000 have applied for the temporary police to be mobilized for the security during the November 19 Constituent Assembly.
Nepal Police have managed for the application filing and selection process in all of its zonal offices. The application filing begun from September 17 lasted till late evening on Monday.
Spokesperson of Nepal Police, Nawaraj Silwal, said significant number of college students and women have applied for the temporary police to be mobilized for two months.
The government had assigned Nepal Police to recruit some 45,000 temporary police in view of the election security.
During the time they are employed, the temporary police get the equal perks and benefits to that of a constable of the Nepali police. RSS
