A 22-year old Chinese boy named Xiaolian has had a new nose grown on his forehead after losing his real nose in car accident in 2012. Xiaolian had the treatment to create a replacement for his original nose that was infected and distorted following the accident in 2012. He left his damaged nose unattended, after the accident which led to infection and eventually deformity leaving the surgeon unable to repair it.
Doctors in chine were left with no option than to create another nose for the man to breathe properly and then transplant it to the original place. His nose was created by placing skin tissue expander on to xiaolian’s forehead. Doctors say that nose has developed well; transplant surgery will be carried out soon.
