US robotics company Boston Dynamics has unveiled a new humanoid robot that can keep its balance while walking over uneven terrain.
The video shows new robot Atlas walking over rocky terrain but managing to keep its balance.
A balance and control system is used to place the feet, swing the robot's arms and keep its upper body upright.
According to Boston Dynamics, the controller of the robot uses "inertial, kinematic and load data from Atlas' sensors."
