Maya Kumari Sharma Files Writ at Supreme Court

30 Sept-Kathmandu: Nepali Ambassador in Qatar Maya Kumari Sharma, who was recalled by the government some days ago, has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday claiming that she was recalled illegally.



The government had decided to recall her on September 26. Sharma has demanded that the government decision to recall her be revoked as no reason was given behind the government decision to recall her and he was not given a chance to furnish her clarification.
Office of the President, Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been named as defendants in the writ petition filed by Bhakta Bahadur Kunwar on behalf of Ambassador Sharma demanding the mandamus order from the SC. RSS
