In a press statement issued on Sunday by Dev Gurung, the secretary of CPN-Maoist as well as spokes person of the alliance, the alliance has called for the new round of talks to solve the problem of the country and to avoid the prospectus confrontation.

“At the moment all the parties should be serious to hold the 2nd CA election after a consensus among the parties to solve the crisis of the nation” reads the statement.
The alliance in the statement has deplored the decision of the government in the recommendation of High Level Political Committee (HLPC) to mobilize army in the election as it is against the spirit of provision of Interim Constitution and the comprehensive peace accord calling it a big mistake.
Alliance also has claimed the decision to mobilize the army in the election is violation of peace accord.
“The mobilization of the army not only risks the democratic practices but also creates the threat of military rule in the country” further reads the statement.
The alliance’s call for the talks came in the mean time while the junior leaders of the major parties are facilitating the talks with an aim of bringing the CPN-Maoist in the board of election even by postponing the poll date.
Major parties have not reacted yet to the latest call for the talks by agitating parties. Previously rounds of talks between HLPC and 33-party alliance had failed to force consensus on the poll date deferral and resignation of Khilraj Regmi as Chief Justice.
