107-year-old Bote Rai of Dhankuta passed away on Wednesday.
According to Dinesh Rai, chairperson of Aathpahariya Samaj Nepal, Dhankuta , Rai took his last breath at his residence in Dhankuta Municipality-3 this afternoon.
Rai was suffering from many different health problems and illnesses.
A month ago, Yeti Airlines had arranged a free flight from Biratnagar to Kathmandu for Rai after learning that his last wish was to board a flight.
A father of 12 children, Rai was living with his 75-year-old nephew Manbahadur and his wife as none of his children are alive.
